FAQs

What is hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation, intense concentration, and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness, often called a trance. In this state, individuals are more open to suggestions that can help change certain behaviors, thoughts, or emotions.Hypnotherapy is considered a safe and non-invasive technique when practiced by a certified and trained professional. It is essential to work with a qualified practitioner to ensure a positive and secure experience.

What happens during a hypnotherapy session? A typical first session starts with intake questions, a short explanation of hypnosis, answering your questions, followed by the hypnotherapy session. You'll remain aware and in control throughout the session. Hypnotherapy is very relaxing and most people feel refreshed and calm at the end of the session.

Can anyone be hypnotized? The ability to be hypnotized depends on various factors, including the person's willingness, openness, and ability to relax and concentrate. People who are highly skeptical, resistant, or have a strong need for control may find it more challenging to enter a hypnotic state. A willingness to participate and follow the therapist's guidance is essential for a successful session.

Can hypnotherapy be done online? Yes, hypnotherapy can be conducted effectively through online sessions, allowing individuals to access therapy from the comfort of their own space. Ensure a quiet and private environment for the session.

Will I lose all control of my mind or reveal personal secrets? No, hypnosis cannot cause you to say or do anything against your free will or ethics. Therapeutic hypnosis is specifically used to improve your health and well-being and is different from stage hypnosis that is used for entertainment purposes only. If you were given suggestions that you don’t morally agree with, you would come out of hypnosis and your mind would mentally block those suggestions. Hypnosis is not a control state, it is an agreeable state for the mind and body to shift its perspective in life.
